W&W

W&W

Quote of Armin van Buuren early 2010: “W&W are truly the rising stars of trance. If I have to put my money on somebody, I put it on W&W.”

Introduction:
What started as a chance meeting at the 2007 Trance Energy has, in just under 4 years, solidified into one of the freshest, most exciting electronic dance acts on the scene. With it has come a new multifarious trance sound that, globally, has begun to shatter underground clubs, arenas and festivals. Banding together under the name W&W has seen the collective careers of Ward van der Harst & Willem van Hanegem go into overdrive… As spinners they’ve delivered due damage to club nights and festivals and in both 2010 and 2011, their A-list-hammered track portfolio saw them conclusively tip the ‘next big thing’ scales. Now, in the new decade, W&W are ready to rule.

Ready for ‘Impact’
2011 sees the guys embark upon a new adventure. In September, the debut album of W&W will be released on Armada Music. ‘Impact’ has all the essential W&W sounds to blow you away and take you in at the same time. Including some very exciting collabs, but never losing the essential W&W strength, ‘Impact’ is set to rule speakers and headphones alike.

W&W Productions:
The serendipitous Trance Energy meet quickly bore their debut W&W production, which came in the form of the mighty ‘Mustang’. ‘Arena’ followed up its freshman success and fast found the CDJs of luminaries like Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Sander Van Doorn & Judge Jules. Tipped by Armin van Buuren as “the best up-and-coming production duo out there”, W&W have continued to rock federation trance to its core with ‘Mainstage’, the Sean Tyas-remixed ‘D.N.A’ each bringing floors to critical mass. Followed by singles ‘Manhattan’, ‘Impact’, ‘AK-47’ and the very first vocal anthem ‘Three O’Clock’ featuring Ana Criado, W&W is in excellent shape for debut album ‘Impact’. Remix-side, their voracious rewires have proved equally as popular – most notably on Armin’s ‘Rain’ and those of, Aly & Fila, Allure, Marcel Woods & others.

DJs:
Almost a year to the day since Willem & Ward first shook hands they quickly took up the spinning mantle. That route has taken them to some of the most respected nights out there. Ones that have come to include Poland’s Sunrise Festival & Entrance, Trance Energy, Tomorrowland, the A State Of Trance 450 and 500 gigs, Several Global Gatherings, Nature One and clubs like Ministry Of Sound London, The Guvernment Toronto & Amnesia Ibiza to name a few.

The Mainstage Radio Show:
Now a regular standing fixture in the trance enthusiasts listening schedule, W&W’s Mainstage radio show exports their diverse sound around the world every week. Mainstage is all about showcasing the freshest music and exposing new talent to the world. Broadcasting weekly on Sirius XM, Kiss FM (Ukraine), Dance Paradise Radio (Brazil) and bi-weekly on the renowned Afterhours FM. In and amongst the intriguing Mainstage ID feature, where every week they’ll be playing a track so hot-damn fresh-off-the-desk, it can’t even be named, you’ll also now be able to vote in… Most Wanted! Through the fan forum you’ll be able to pick you favorite track of the fortnight and vote on it. The winner will be duly crowned ‘Most Wanted’ on the following show. Mainstage is also available as a podcast on iTunes and can be heard over here: http://podcast.wandwmusic.nl/

Liquified

For almost 20 years Liquified has been synonymous with the biggest and best electronic music events in North America. Founded in Manchester England in 1989, Liquified relocated to North America in 1992 to help develop an emerging electronic music scene.

In the early 1990s Liquified threw parties along the East Coast in cities ranging from Charlotte to Miami, settling in Atlanta where they created a truly vibrant electronic music fan base and introduced some of the biggest names in dance music to the United States. Notably in 1996 Liquified organized and promoted Sasha and John Digweed’s first ever US tour the now legendary ‘Northern Exposure’.

In 1999 Liquified headed West and organized a series of ground-breaking after-hours parties that quickly established them as a major player in the West Coast dance music scene. Producing infamous events at the prestigious Mayan, where they put together the event that inspired John Digweed’s ‘Global Underground Los Angeles’. Their consistency in blooding the best new talent and bringing sizeable and passionate crowds meant Liquified played an integral role in creating the burgeoning electronic music scene Los Angeles currently enjoys.

Cazzette

CAZZETTE is an Swedish DJ duo consisting of Sebastian Furrer & Alexander Björklund. The duo represent the second baby of Ash Pournouri from AT NIGHT MANAGEMENT (same manager behind the meteoric rise of AVICII) with the name launched from nothing on June 9, 2011.

Within days, CAZZETTE released their first release, a remix for Avicii entitled “Sweet Dreams (CAZZETTE meet AT NIGHT Mix) “on JOIA RECORDS and it’s been charting at the Top20 on Beatport Top100 General Charts for 6 weeks straight.

Their bootleg of Swedish House Mafia’s “Save the World” was accepted as an official remix by the boys and their highly appreciated bootleg of Adele’s “Set Fire to the Rain” went straight to the number one spot on HYPE MACHINE most popular after being uploaded on their Soundcloud page.

Already supported by David Guetta, Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Martin Solveig to name a few, these young Swedes are about to take over the world with their infectious take on electronic music – simply coined Dub House. With the first single due end of summer, they have already secured a 17-gig September tour in the US as well as selected fashion event parties around Europe.

Forum

Not simply another nightclub, FORUM represents a revolution in nightlife, music and art, breaking down the artificial walls that separate them forever.

FORUM is a 21st century nightlife product; one that can accommodate the competing demands of world-class concert venue, upscale bar/ultralounge, all-purpose dance club and above all, a prime destination for some of the best musical talent the world has to offer.

FORUM is not redefining the standard of what world-class nightlife is: FORUM is the standard. Everything else will feel just a tad bit..obsolete.

R3HAB

A small number of DJ-producers can claim to touch the success that R3hab – real name Fadil El Ghoul – has earned over the course of his young career; in fact, the youngster’s rapid rise through the ranks of the electronic music world has been almost unsurpassed. If few DJs can say their own sound verges on a standalone and established genre; even fewer can do it in such a short space of time. R3hab’s brand of ‘Chainsaw Madness’ has created such a stir in the scene that time-honored acts are constantly in line to show their support – Tiesto, Afrojack and Calvin Harris (to name but a few) are all keen followers of the Dutchman’s signature noise. Selling out the most coveted of clubs, in demand for highest profile remixes and continually creating the most progressive Dance Music around – 2013 is set to be uniformly unrivalled.

2012 started with a bang as R3hab was crowned victor in the Miami Winter Music Conference’s IDMA ‘Breakthrough Artist Award’ back in March. The sought after accolade naturally propelled his career towards the United States; a place he now considers ‘a home-from-home’. Not that Fadil can ever stay in one place for long however; fiercely requested the world over, the following months were spent touring as a solo artist with his signature sound reverberating around the walls of Asia, Europe and Australia in the most popular of clubbing destinations. As if these abundant sell-out shows were not confirmation enough for R3hab’s status as global sensation, DJ Mag underscored this emphatically in October 2012 as he came in at #73 in their annual ‘Top 100 DJs’.

A touring DJ however, is merely a half of R3hab’s supremacy. Teaming up with fellow compatriot Afrojack on the electrifying ‘Prutataaa’, R3hab created a mainstage masterpiece for the summer of 2012, entering into the Top 10 of the Beatport Electro Chart within days of its release. His collaboration with Swanky Tunes and Max C ‘Sending My Love’ was also given early support by Swedish House Mafia when it was played in their set at the iTunes Festival, pulling in tens of thousands of listeners, and reaching a coveted #2 on the Beatport overall chart.

Beyond this, writing and producing collaborations with some of the hottest acts around has showcased a whole other side to him as a multi-faceted artist. Featuring the globally recognized Antipodean singer Havana Brown, his smash hit ‘You’ll Be Mine’ recently topped the Australian charts, which opened the Dutch star up to a brand new fan base. Furthermore, time spent producing with the legend that is Enrique Iglesias also shaped one of the biggest dance floor fillers of the year; ‘Finally Found You’ put him in front of the eyes and ears of a truly global audience and further cemented the fact that R3hab’s favorite territory – like so many of the greats – is of course, the studio. When it comes to production prowess, you’d be hard pushed to find anybody with more of it than R3hab.

R3hab’s crossover from the Electronic arena to multiple genres has also left some of Pop’s glitterati knocking at his door. He has gone on to re-work Lady Gaga’s ‘Marry The Night’, Calvin Harris’s ‘We’ll Be Coming Back’, Katy Perry’s ‘The One That Got Away’, No Doubt’s ‘Looking Hot’, Pitbull’s ‘Back In Time’ and Madonna’s ‘Turn Up The Radio’ in quick succession plus collaborations with David Guetta and Usher to add to his lengthy bow.

Although still young, R3hab has unquestionably honed his craft of producing personal tracks. His ‘Living for the City’ release has received heavy support from Beatport buyers going straight in at #5 in the overall chart within a matter of days! More recently, Fadil was honoured the opportunity of producing EDC Orlando’s official 2012 anthem ‘A Night In’ – a track that set the blogosphere ablaze and sent critics shouting from the rooftops. Previewed on Soundcloud his latest smash with ZROQ ‘Skydrop’ clocked up an astounding 175,000 hits before it’s official release on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom label receiving rave reviews across the globe. With many more productions under his belt, hints at future singles, worldwide tours and huge collaborations coming soon it’s amazing to think the world has only seen the start of R3hab.

Disco Presents

About Us

Disco Presents (DP) is an award-winning and recognized electronic dance music event production leader founded by veteran promoter James "Disco" Donnie Estopinal. Since the company's inception in 1994, DP has sold over 20 million tickets producing over 20,000 live events, arena shows, and outdoor festivals in over 100 markets worldwide, including the U.S., Mexico, Canada, and Panama. Annually, DP is responsible for organizing and promoting nearly 1,000 club events across the U.S., ranging from Portland, Columbus, Houston, Tampa, New Orleans, Dallas, and St. Louis to name only a few. DP is also known for producing major festivals such Lights All Night, Sunset Music Festival, Ember Shores, The Texas Eclipse, Paradise Blue, So What!?, Freaky Deaky, and the "First Festival Back," Ubbi Dubbi.

Founder and CEO James "Disco Donnie" Estopinal, Jr. is revered as a pioneer of U.S. electronic dance music, shaping the scene over three decades to become a leading global promoter. Emerging from the 1990s New Orleans dance scene, Disco Donnie blended eccentricity with innovation, crafting intricately themed parties that captivated audiences and garnered international acclaim. His journey inadvertently sparked a national conversation on First Amendment rights when he faced DEA charges under archaic Crackhouse Laws, but he defended the right to artistic expression and ultimately triumphed.

Notably, Disco Donnie's innovative event concepts and boundary-pushing performances also intersected with the controversial Crackhouse Laws of the era, which aimed to crack down on illegal drug activity in venues but often had unintended consequences for underground music and dance culture. Disco Donnie's efforts to navigate these legal challenges while maintaining his commitment to artistic freedom further solidified his reputation as a trailblazer in the electronic music scene and a champion for the rights of performers and audiences alike.

In 1999, Donnie first partnered with Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac Events, and worked together on EDC Los Angeles, Nocturnal Wonderland Los Angeles, and Beyond Wonderland Los Angeles. In 2008, the duo officially merged, setting their sights on strategically developing the Insomniac brand worldwide and making Insomniac a household name. Working together, the pair ushered in events such as EDC Orlando, EDC Dallas, EDC Puerto Rico, EDC New York; Beyond Wonderland Seattle; Nocturnal Wonderland Austin, and co-founded Electric Forest. The partnership also produced hundreds of club shows annually in markets across the U.S.

In 2012, DP shifted its focus to the genesis and development of SFX Entertainment, as the first company to sign with founder Robert F. X. Sillerman; a media entrepreneur with a vision to invest nearly a billion dollars in electronic dance music to bring the world's leading promoters under one roof.

Disco became a part of LiveStyle in 2017, which housed a worldwide portfolio of top-tier event companies including, Disco Presents, React Presents, Life In Color, Made Events, ID&T, Tomorrowland, Sensation, TomorrowWorld, Beatport.com, Electric Zoo, Awakenings, Q-Dance, and more.

After shelving the Something Wicked and Something Wonderful brands, Donnie partnered with a sister company in 2018 to bring Chicago's Freaky Deaky to Houston, Texas, selling 50,000 tickets in its first year. The same year, Disco Presents released Ubbi Dubbi, which took us into a world curated by two whimsical imaginary characters known as Ubbi and Dubbi. The brand took the EDM world by storm, gathering 45,000 attendees in its inaugural year.

In 2020, James "Disco Donnie" Estopinal announced he re-acquired sole ownership of Disco Presents (DP), the namesake company he founded 26 years before. This historic acquisition concludes an epic eight-year journey through being the first company acquired by SFX, surviving SFX's subsequent bankruptcy, becoming a part of LiveStyle, and finally buying his company back and delivering fan refunds in the face of COVID-19 festival cancellations. Dedicated to continuing to serve the EDM community, DP created No Parking On The Dance Floor, a new brand that brought 25+ drive-in shows to fans across the U.S. through April 2021.

In 2021, Disco Presents could finally move forward with club shows and festivals again. In the first week of April 2021, he launched Ember Shores in partnership with Illenium. This announcement marked the company's first all-inclusive destination music festival, set for December 2021 in Cancun. Ubbi Dubbi returned in April 2021 as the first festival back in the US with 60,000 tickets sold and the company's first festival camping experience.

As Disco Presents celebrates its 30th anniversary, it's ushering in a new era by changing its name to "Disco Presents." This shift reflects the company's growth beyond any individual name and its readiness for a fresh start. With a commitment to innovation, Disco Presents is poised to expand rapidly with new festival brands and groundbreaking show concepts, marking its most significant years yet.
