Meltdown Music Festival Artist Profile: Bro Safari
Although Meltdown Music Festival is rapidly approaching, it feels like April 27th can’t come quickly enough. This year’s lineup is packed with some of the most talented and diverse artists around the world, making 2013’s “We Are All Together” theme perfect in every way! Remember, the earlier you grab tickets, the better! You surely will not want to miss any sets from the many dance music veterans gracing the bill, like the tenacious Bro Safari.
Nick Weiller, also known by his alternate DJ and producing moniker, Knick, has already established deep roots in the music scene due to his work as a part of the pioneering american drum and bass group, Evol Intent and half of the omni-genred duo Ludachrist. His production as Bro Safari spans across all avenues of bass, grabbing the attention of Diplo, DJ Craze, and Knife Party.
Currently, Bro Safari is infecting a new generation of bass heads with his unique take on the moombahton and trap styles. And you can see him do just that, as he takes the stage at the 2013 Meltdown Music Festival. Tickets are still available online.

In Memory: Scott Hardkiss, An American Electronic Dance Music Innovator
“Scott was an extremely multi-talented artist, and above all, a great person. His mark on DJ culture is undeniable and we’re going to miss him very much.”
-Donnie Estopinal
Donnie and the Disco Donnie Presents team are deeply saddened by the loss of Scott Hardkiss, a true originator of American electronic dance music.
From underground events in forests, on the beach, or under the desert sky, Scott made an indelible mark on music and was one third of the beloved ’90s SF rave trio Hardkiss, along with Gavin and Robbie.
Together, they helped define the San Francisco rave soundâ€â€a mix of house, techno, breaks, and of course, plenty of psychedelica.
Scott’s contribution to DJ culture will surely be mourned, but it is his heart and spirit that will never fade.
From all of us at the Disco Donnie Presents team, may you rest in peace Scott.
