We’re counting down the days until the gates are open for Tampa’s Sunset Music Festival on the 25th of May, and if you’ve already scooped up your tickets, we’re sure you’re counting down too. There are many social media outlets you can follow to meet fellow Sunset-ers like yourself, as well as stay-to-date with all festival updates.
For the oncoming weeks leading up to the festival, we will be releasing set times, map of the festival grounds, guides, and local information to help you navigate your way through your sun-filled experience. But we want to see what you’re doing before the show. Send us pictures of how you get ready, how you pre-game, and the Rockin’ time you and your friends have by using the #SMF2013 hashtag. Your Design Could be Featured on Meltdown Music Festival Official 2013 T-Shirt!
For the past 14 years, Meltdown Music Festival has been a place where thousands of people from different places and backgrounds can come together and dance with others who share one common bond – music. This year, we want you to help us encapsulate that idea for a one-sided t-shirt design.
The Meltdown t-shirt design should tell our story of “We Are All Together” through creative ingenuity. The winner of our design contest will be chosen by the Meltdown staff and will receive two (2) VIP passes to Meltdown Music Festival, two (2) t-shirts of their own design, one (1) parking pass, and the chance to have their artwork available for sale at the festival and promoted on all our social media outlets.
Ready to get started? There are some important things to remember when you are drafting up your design. Organizers of the event include Disco Donnie Presents, Full Access, and Prototype Industries. The festival will take place at QuikTrip Park, Grand Prairie, TX on Saturday, April 27, 2013. The theme for 2013 is “We Are All Together” and you can link to the festival at MeltdownDallas.com.
Deadline for submissions is Monday, April 15, 2013 and one (1) winner, who must be 17+ on the day of the event, will be announced Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Good luck. We’re looking forward to seeing your entries!

Disco Donnie Presents joins Dirtyphonics for the Irreverence Tour!
The Dirtyphonics sound is a difficult one to try and shove into one category, but it is an easy one to identify. Collectively, the group states, “We don’t follow rules, we create them.” Unlike a lot of modern dubstep being created today, members Charly, Thomas, Julien, and Pitchin provide an excellent balance of bass music, drum n’ bass, dubstep, and electro with grimy energy.
The French quartet cite Metallica and Korn as influences to their sound as quickly as they do Daft Punk and Pendulum. Though the boys come from a predominantly “rock ‘n’ roll” background, with most of them having played in metal bands, they have never been ones to follow any rules or guidelines in regards to making music. Charly states, “Our sound was always meant to be powerful, high-impact, and precise. From the day we’ve started, we’ve challenged ourselves to create something new – we love to push boundaries.”
You will definitely have the chance to have your boundaries pushed, as Disco Donnie Presents is excited to announce they are bringing the outfit to a city near you.

Disco Donnie Presents joins Borgore on his 2013 #TURNTLIFE Spring Tour!
Producer, DJ, rapper/singer, and self-proclaimed ruiner of dubstep, Borgore is already taking 2013’s bass movement by storm. Riding into the year still high off the success of his single “Decisions” with Miley Cyrus, one of his most recent releases with Carnage “Incredible,” hit #1 on Beatport and quickly became a staple this Miami Music Conference season. Moreover, he’s announced, not only a new EP set for release this June and his upcoming debut album to be delivered this fall, but he’s also announced his upcoming #TURNTLIFE spring tour, launching early this forthcoming May.
The 22-date tour will take the Israeli-Londoner to numerous, clubs, venues and festivals all across North America. During the tour, Borgore will perform new music from his impending EP and debut album, which could easily be described as a bass frenzy. Which is why we can’t wait to eat some cake with Borgore on his spring tour. You can eat some cake with us too when you grab some tickets and join us on the following dates:

Join the Meltdown Music Festival Street Team!
One of the most important aspects about any event, no matter what size or who’s playing, is how effectively it is promoted. Which is why we’re taking to the streets with a grassroots approach to spread the news about this year’s Meltdown Music Festival. We are looking for more volunteers to help grow the Meltdown team!
When you join our street team, your input can really make a difference. You would be helping us continue to grow as a festival and make it a mainstay for Dallas. Of course, when you are a part of the action and you’ll be rewarded with some free stuff!
