Thank You Get Lucky!

Disco Donnie Presents and V2 would like to give a huge green-cladded thank you to everyone who came out and got lucky with Tiësto, Tommy Trash, Quintino, and Alvaro this past week at the Great Saltair. Thanks to you, 2013’s Get Lucky was completely sold out and, not to mention, our biggest St. Patrick’s Day festival yet!

Your support means more to us than any four-leafed clover or pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. Without your love of the music and sturdy dancing shoes, none of this would be possible. We hope you’re walking away with as many memorable moments as we are.

Presenting The Black Magic Mystical Wonder Tour!

Known for his productions under the monikers Ewun and more popularly, Kill The Noise, Jake Stanczak is a drum and bass, dubstep, electro and house music DJ and producer from Rochester, New York. With a keen ear for sound quality and engineering, Stanczak’s professional production hit the ground running after his father bought him a copy of the software program, Reason 1.0 back in 2000. Since then, he has since gone on to become one of the most prolific, avant-garde producers of our generation, working with many artists including Spor, Evol Intent, Skrillex, Dillon Francis, Datsik and Dieselboy. Amazingly, Stanczack’s work as Kill The Noise garnered so much recognition and support from fans before even having the chance to debut an official solo release. That would soon change in 2010 though as his first EP Roots came out, coincidentally, as the first release for Slow Roast Records, an imprint he co-owns with five time DMC world-champion, DJ Craze.

Continuing on in 2013, Kill The Noise has just announced his first-ever headlining tour, the Black Magic Mystical Wonder Tour with Style of Eye and Brillz providing the primary support, and 12th Planet and Codes will provide support for select dates. We have always marveled at how his productions and performances flawlessly blend different genres, styles and tempos, which is why Disco Donnie Presents is glad to bring a lot of noise to a city near you!

Presenting Paul van Dyk in Indianapolis and Nashville!

Ditch whatever plans you originally had for March 21st and 22nd because Disco Donnie Presents is bringing one of the world’s most popular DJ’s to your hometown. Indianapolis and Nashville, come let go on the dancefloor as Paul van Dyk provides the soundtrack for the evening. Paul has spent the majority of his adult life being a DJ, and 2013 is no different as the legend has been avidly touring all across the world, infecting a new generation with his euphorically energetic sound.

Whether you are a recent electronic music fan, or a veteran dancer, Paul van Dyk is a name that is impossible to overlook. Being one of the first artists to receive a Grammy nomination, in the then newly created category of Best Dance/Electronic album, PVD, known to his postmaster as Matthius Paul, is a permanent staple within the upper echelons of the music industry. Known for his world-renowned podcast Vonyc Sessions, Paul has always had a knack for hand-selecting tracks he knew would/could add a jolt of energy to any dancefloor. Indianapolis and Nashville, are you guys ready to become of those dancefloors?

Alesso to headline Mexico dates!

While it has only been three short years that Alessandro Lindblad, better known as Alesso, first burst out onto the scene, the list of accolades in those years are to be commended.

Just a year after his debut release, Alesso rose to international notoriety with string of popular hits like his remix of Starkillers, Alex Kenji, and Nadia Ali’s “Pressure,” which, by the way, was one of the most played dance songs of 2011. In the same year, Alesso collaborated with fellow Swede, Sebastian Ingrosso on the track “Calling,” scored an official remix of Swedish House Mafia’s “Save The World,” and got to remix for then then, world’s #1 DJ, David Guetta on the track “Titanium.” And from 2012 on into today, it has been nothing but a slew of successive Beatport chart-toppers like festival favorites, “Years” with Matthew Koma, “City of Dreams,” alongside Dirty South and his latest solo release “Clash.”

As we look at Alesso’s list of achievements in the short span of his career, it seems,to us, that he definitely made the right decision when he sold motorized scooter for his first studio set-up. As 2013 picks up speed, we are excited to announce that Alesso will be headlining three dates in Mexico. Join us as we team up with Alive Enertainment and clash onto a dancefloor near you!

Magnetic Music Festival Artist Profiles: Dash Berlin

A few weeks ago, we announced that Liquified and Disco Donnie Presents would be embarking on a new brand new venture for dance music fans in the Southeast. On April 20, 2013, Magnetic Music Festival will take place in Atlanta, GA and feature an audiovisual sensory experience with state-of-the-art production, sound, video mapped stage designs, LEDs and lasers all set to the backdrop of amazing music from some of the finest DJs in the industry who you will be learning about through our artist profile series. Today’s profile will help get you acquainted with the #7th DJ in the World, Dash Berlin.

Hailing from Hague, Netherlands, Dash Berlin frontman, Jeffrey Sutorius, is no stranger to the electronic music industry. Working for many influential record stores and being an avid collector of vinyl trance music himself, Sutorius has a knack for creating music for a universal dancefloor. Calling on close friends and producers Eelke Kalberg and Sebastiaan Molijn (responsible for international anthem, “Better Off Alone”) in early 2006, the trio formed the Dash Berlin project and designed an unprecedented new sound of trance, coined as the “Dash Berlin Sound.”

Their 2008 single, “Till the Sky Falls Down,” was not only their debut release, but also their first big hit, as Armin van Buuren added the track to his popular Universal Religion mixed album. Following the success of the single, Armin quickly signed Dash Berlin to the revered, Armada Music label. Now, under the Armada umberella, Dash Berlin is the head of Aropa Records, while still managing to headline festivals around the world. Long-time musician, producer and DJ, we’re glad to have him join us at the first-ever Magnetic Music Festival.
