Feel the 'Terrorvision' This Fall With Figure and Disco Donnie Presents

Just in time for the fall season, everyone’s favorite horrific producer Figure is about to embark on a new hair-raising experience across America with the Terrorvision tour.

Hailing from Indiana, Figure, known to his friends and family as Josh Gard, started his career in the music industry as a hip hop producer for well-known rappers. But his love of artists like The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers gave Gard the courage to dive head-first into the dance music pool. His first experiments were with electro house but soon, he fell in love with the world of broken beats and bass.

Donning a new name as Figure, The Doses/War Fair EP was the first to show his horror-influenced sound but it was his 2011 EP Monsters of Drumstep that landed him on every industry radar. Audiences loved the culture clash and Figure has embraced the eerie vibes ever since, becoming bass music’s prince of darkness.

Figure is a wizard in the studio not only in terms of his quality craftsmanship but the sheer volume of his collection as well. The best part is that he loves giving away most of his music and his Soundcloud is just an endless supply of his energetically percussive drums and grimey low-ends. Getting ready to release the anticipated Monsters Volume 5, it’s time to celebrate – Figure style.

Invading 14 cities across North America with Space Laces, Terrorvision is will be taking on a live set up to compliment Figure’s quality collection. As an extension to the music, audiences will be treated to a smorgasbord of horror with improvised visuals provided by the main man himself. “I wanted to create the ability to compile tons of custom edited clips the same way I have compiled tons of music for my sets over the years. I’m a horror buff and I’ve amassed an extensive collection of classic shock theatre and obscure films which is definitely an inspiration for the visual direction on this tour.”

Porter Robinson Takes our 'Worlds' Apart in new Mini-Documentary

Checking off another pivotal career milestone this year, North Carolina native Porter Robinson recently released his long-awaited debut album Worlds, this past August. Even now, two months after it was released, the album still gets acclaimed-reviews every week from media and fans alike. Although he’s on the last leg of his 40-date North American tour, the 22-year old is only in the eye of the proverbial storm – another whirlwind will soon be underway with the start of his European tour. But despite the hard work and heavy schedule, Porter is still all smiles – he’s doing what he’s always wanted to do!

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/136751667″ params=”color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

One of the things we (and critics) love most about Worlds and its accompanying tour is that it’s completely original and a breath of fresh air from the expected sounds of the main stage. Porter crafted a journey with beautiful chord progressions, mirroring a cerebral, almost fairytale-like composition overtop playfully glitchy edits. His live performance is exactly that – live. Avoiding CDJs all together, Porter uses keyboards, drum machines, and microphones to recreate his blissful tracks. When you add that with stunning visual production, it further proves that the entire Worlds experience is one that you just cannot miss.

Earlier this week, Porter uploaded episode one of a mini tour documentary called Worlds Live Tour. The first of an impending series, episode one is four-minutes long and chronicles the hours before his first show. It also gives a behind-the-scenes look at Porter’s trials and errors working with specialists to bring his vision to life. “My VJ Ghostdad flew to where I live and stayed at my house for like four days,” Porter remembers, “We worked dusk ’til dawn, without ever leaving the house. Ben, my light guy, has been doing a very similar thing – I think he’s slept five hours in the last four days.”

Check out Porter Robinson’s mini-documentary Worlds Live Tour: Episode One below, but nothing beats seeing it in person. Lucky for you, there’s still some time left to witness the beauty of Worlds in a city near you. Join us on our remaining partnering dates:

'X' Marks the Spot on the Upcoming Tour With Bassjackers and Dyro

This fall, North America is getting a Dutch invasion as Bassjackers and Dyro join forces for the first time since their 2013 GRID tour, to embark on a co-headlined journey called X. Though they have different styles, both acts are known for their crazy energetic output, so you can only imagine how crazy this tour is going to be.

Bassjackers

Bassjackers‘ members Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst have been jackin’ the bass since 2007. Their big break came a few years later when their dancefloor weapon “Mush Mush” released on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom imprint and became one of the biggest club/festival tracks of 2011. Since the Bassjackers name is seemingly everywhere, whether it be on remixes for the likes of Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias and Moby, on lineups for events around the globe, on massive collaborations, or banging originals like “Crackin” and forthcoming single “Savior.”

Dyro

Dyro‘s story started a little differently. This young talent first started producing in 2011 and in that same year, had one of his tracks fall into the hands of reigning #1 DJ in the world, Hardwell. That track was “Metaphor” which we now know as Dyro’s official debut to the world – and what a debut that was. Dyro’s success has hardly slowed since, as follow-up releases like “Daftastic” and “Raid” only propelled him even further into the spotlight. The Dutch talent went on to remix songs for Hardwell, Dannic, R3hab, Afrojack, and even pop favorite Katy Perry has vied for his style. Known for creating huge progressive tracks with electro-influenced drops, Dyro knows his way around that peak-time sound and makes sure energy is the core element in each of his productions. Getting ready to release “Against All Odds” at the end of October on his very own imprint WOLV, there’s nothing but blue skies in the future for this young talent.

Bassjackers X Dyro Tour

Merging these two powerhouses, the X moniker represents the clash in styles and personalities that define the unique pairing. The X tour kicks off on October 15th during Amsterdam Dance Event and then will embark on a six-week bus tour across the Atlantic for a 30-date run around every corner of North America. Join the 'Twonkaholics' Anonymous Support Group This Fall With Brillz and Disco Donnie Presents

Brillz has been turning heads with his trap-laced blend of hip hop and dance music for a hot minute now, putting out releases on OWSLA, Mad Decent and Slow Roast Records. Get Ready for Round Three of Borgore's #NEWGOREORDER Tour

Borgore has been destroying dance floors for over half a decade with his raunchy distortion, in-your-face bass lines and lyrics that will make your mother cringe.

For the “ruiner of dubstep,” 2014 has been very busy year. Outside of reporting the “Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse” with Shannon Doherty this past April, the Israeli import just released his long-awaiting debut album #NEWGOREORDER which features favorites “Decisions” with Miley Cyrus and the lead single “Ratchet,” which will forever change the way you think of the song “If You’re Happy and you Know it.”

For the past few months, Borgore has been bringing his signature Gorestep on the road with tons of audio visual debauchery in the #NEWGOREORDER tour. Though the original announcement only had twenty cities listed to host the event, we’re excited to be a part of phase three of the tour which means three times the grime, grit, and gore.

Take a 'Drive' With Gareth Emery and Disco Donnie Presents This Fall

British talent Gareth Emery has been blessing audiences with his hypnotic sound since 2002. Though his debut release was a white label remix of The Shrink’s classic “Nervous Breakdown,” the track that really kicked things into high-gear was his third release, “Mistral” under his GTR moniker. Since then, the industry veteran has been responsible for hits like “Sanctuary,” “The Saga,” and “Concrete Angel.”

This year, Gareth unlocked another career achievement with the release of his sophomore album Drive on his imprint Garuda back in April. “I’ve basically been writing this new album since Concrete Angel,” he admits, “I can honestly say I think it’s the best work of my career. It’s all about songs and melodies and a step away from EDM festival drops — yes, there are a varieties of styles represented, but each and every track is absolutely Gareth Emery.”

A day after its release, the album has broke the top 50 on iTunes and became the #1 dance album on the platform as well. Now that the dust is finally starting to settle, in true Emery fashion, the Brit is getting ready for an American road trip with the Drive tour. Starting off at the end of August in Montréal, the tour is making pit stops everywhere from Los Angeles, New York City, Bogotá, and México City.
