DJ Snake Joins the Fourth Edition of Ultimate Music Experience

We regret to inform you techno lovers that Boys Noize will not be able to perform at this year’s Ultimate Music Experience. But, we are excited to announce that DJ Snake is going to fill in for the open Saturday, March 15th time slot with his bass heavy jams.

DJ Snake burst out onto the scene in 2013 with his hit single “Turn Down for What” on Columbia Records. The song was featured in a commercial for a wireless Sol Republic speaker, propelling the Frenchman to international success. Though “Turn Down for What” was recently certified gold in February, this recent UME addition had already had success in the studio, producing for Lady Gaga on her last two albums – a project that earned him a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year in 2012.

We won’t turn down anything once DJ Snake hits the decks for Ultimate Music Experience – and that’s just the way we like it.

Three Mixes to get you Pumped and Ready for Ultimate Music Experience Pre-Party

The Ultimate Music Experience pre-party is just hours away and soon, we’ll kick off our Spring Break vacation in style at Clayton’s Beach Resort on Wednesday, March 12th. The party starts at 9:00 PM, so to help tide you over as the countdown continues, here are three mixes to get those feet movin’ before we meet on the dance floor.

Steve Aoki – Aoki’s House Episode 106

Every Saturday for the past four years, audiences have tuned in to Electric Area on SiriusXM for Aoki’s House mix show, hosted by none other than (of course) Steve Aoki. On this particular episode, the kid millionaire weaved through multiple tempos with the kind of crazy energy that we’ve come to expect from the talent. From trap, electro, and hardstyle, this mix will definitely keep you on your toes.

Deorro – Live at Sun City Music Festival 2013

Every Labor Day, thousands of dancers come to El Paso for Sun City Music Festival. This past edition had Deorro joining the lineup of talent, which, coincidentally, was on his birthday. This set is a perfect example of why the #PandaFam leader is wanted by major festivals around the globe. The hour-long ride takes us through electro house, moombahton, trap, Dutch and everything in between. You’ll start moving after the first track.

GTA – Death To Genres: Pete Tong Evolution Radio Mix

We’ve been loving the Death To Genres mix series that the boys of GTA have been releasing as of late. The latest edition, premiering on Pete Tong’s Evolution Radio a few weeks ago, touches on every genre and gives you a little teaser of what you can expect at their current Death To Genres tour. From Bingo Players to 2 Chainz, there is a lot to love in this versatile mix.

Dance Responsibly at Ultimate Music Experience

We’re about to have the time of our lives at Ultimate Music Experience very soon, but before we all meet at Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark on March 13-15th we’ve got some helpful tips and information to make sure you and your friends stay safe and responsible at this year’s Spring Break event.

Stay Hydrated

There will be a lot of dancing this Spring Break and sometimes people will get sick from overheating and dehydration. We encourage you to drink lots of water, but remember drinking too much water can be dangerous! Accidents surrounding music events have been associated with low levels of electrolytes that are lost along with water when one becomes dehydrated. Such low levels of electrolytes, especially salt, can lead to brain swelling, seizures, heart problems and even death. So be sure to alternate between water and sports drinks that will be provided for you.

Costumes Encouraged

We will have world renowned artists pumping great music all night, so be sure to wear something comfortable, lightweight and easy to dance in. Dark colors absorb heat rays, so avoid wearing all dark clothes. You should also steer away from heavy fabrics and faux furs, always remembering that comfortable tennis shoes are the best option on the dance floor.

Find Your Buddy

Ultimate Music Experience brings thousands upon thousands of amazing people from across the country, so it could be really easy to get separated from your group due to the sheer size of the event. Always keep track of where your friends are by setting up meeting points and sticking together. Look out for one another. If you and your friends have been sweating, grab some water for the group to replenish nutrients lost – you can’t live off dancing alone. We will have personnel stationed around the grounds, so be sure to ask for help if you or one of your friends needs it.

Is There a Doctor in the House?

Medical personnel will not only be readily accessible but ready to assist you at any time in the medical tent. From Band-Aids to aspirin, assistance is available to you should you need anything at all. Gatorade will also be made available upon request. If you are feeling unwell, seek medical attention immediately. Your health and safety is more important than waiting for the drop.
