Getting Ready for Sunset Music Festival!

To help you prepare for Sunset Music Festival, we’ve created a list of the essentials you need to know. We’ve gathered all the important details of the event on one page to help streamline your preparation — because hey, you’re almost on vacation.

How to Beat the Heat at Sunset Music Festival

The weather for our Ra celebration on Saturday is forecasted at 89 with a low of 70. There is a UV Index reading of 11, which means there is a risk of harm from sun exposure. Don’t leave the house unprotected. Apply sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 liberally every two hours.

Enjoy the Shade

Take cover under the extra shading in Sunset’s design so that you and your body can regroup before you go back out to our Ra, Isis, and Set stages.

Water, Water Everywhere

Water slides will always be fun, no matter how old you are. Take a quick splash into coolness with two newly added water slides. Wear your swim suit and trunks and make a splash at Sunset this year.

Free water stations will also be available throughout the festival grounds. Stay hydrated and eliminate waste by grabbing a collectable Sunset Music Festival water bottle, which will be available at our merchandising booth.

Sunset Music Festival Invites You to Foster Creativity in the Next Generation

We’re all getting pumped for the 2013 edition of Sunset Music Festival. With acts like David Guetta, Steve Aoki, and Knife Party all gracing our stages, its hard to imagine the music industry today without it having any electronic influences. Fortunately, we won’t have to worry about that because of Dr. Bob Moog’s ground-breaking invention of the synthesizer all those years ago. Though no longer with us, Dr. Moog’s legacy will forever live on in music, instruments, and now, in schools.

Disco Donnie Presents and the Bob Moog Foundation are teaming up to further the Foundation’s mission to educate and inspire children through the blending of music and science with the launch of Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool. We hope our partnership with the Foundation will spur the electronic music culture to start giving back. Ticket buyers for every Disco Donnie Presents show will now have the ability to donate to the Bob Moog Foundation through a donation portal on all tickets pages to help raise additional support. Not only that, but Disco Donnie Presents will match all fan donations received through the donation portal. Give back to the next generation of dancers and dance at the same time. Now that’s something to celebrate.

To learn more about Dr. Bob’s SoundSchool, the Disco Donnie Presents and Bob Moog Foundation partnership, and how you can donate, please visit the official partnership announcement.
