Get Involved and Volunteer for Tampa's The Gift
If you’ve ever wanted to get involved and help the festival community, volunteering is a great way to do so – and there are tons of benefits too. If you volunteer at this year’s The Gift, you’ll receive access to the spectacle event, learn about operations at a major festival event and meet others with similar interests like yourself so you can network.

Once we have your application for consideration, we’ll contact you with more details.
Day After Artist Profile: Deorro
Over the past two years, Day After Festival artist Deorro has become one of the most sought after young producer/DJs in the business and it’s easy to see why. With a seemingly endless amount of original productions, the young producer also has an impressive amount of collaborations and remixes as well with heavyweights like Steve Aoki, Chuckie, Laidback Luke, Diplo, Tommie Sunshine and R3HAB.
Born Erick Orrosquiesta, the Los Angeles native acquired a taste for guitar and drums at the age of 14. Using the stage name of Ton!c, the budding talent started DJing at local gigs and house events. Though DJing helped express his love for music, that love would turn into a career when he began producing his own music.
Not long after he released his music on Soundcloud, “Ton!c” began to garner a huge following. His music began to spread rapidly with releases like “Fire” and “Voodoo” which hit over one million downloads online. After selling out two events in Australia, a benchmark was set in place and soon after, Ton!c became Deorro. “Well, to me the name change is sort of like a fresh start, I do like many releases that I have under Ton!c, but I think its time to take it to the next level – new name, new road. And so far so good.”
Now 22 years old, Deorro’s dedication has turned into a remarkable lifestyle change for the better, “I never imagined it would be like this, traveling all days around the world. The thing that makes me very happy is that I can help my sons and my family. In my childhood, things were not very good but now that I have reach this success I think it’s time to give back to my parents and my people what they gave me. I’ll never stop working!”
As one of the youngest international talents gracing the charts today, Deorro shows no signs of slowing down. Dubbing his unique genre of electro house “Panda Funk,” releases like his Elevation EP reached Beatport’s Top 20 electro house chart and gained support from artists all across the spectrum of dance music. He’s also created his own label, PandaFunk Records, to showcase his signature style and help other upcoming artists hone their own sound. Keeping with the panda theme, Deorro dubs his fervently growing and loyal fan base “PandaFam.”

The Gift Weekend Warriors: NERVO
The Gift featuring deadmau5 (unhooked) makes its debut at the Raymond James Stadium on Thursday, December 26th.
As we blaze through the remaining days of December, we’re almost out of artists on our weekly mission to get you pumped for the upcoming event.
This week’s weekend warriors are our very talented duo NERVO. Currently finishing their NERVO Naciòn tour in Mexico, the ladies of NERVO are known for their energy fueled sets ranging from electro to techno and everything in between. These three sets will get those feet tappin’ in no time.

At the end of every month, the Aussie sisters bring another episode of their popular radio show NERVO Nation to Sirius XM’s BPM channel. For the latest edition, the lyrics in the first song pretty sums up how we’re feeling. “Let’s go dancing, I wanna go dancing with you all night dancing.” The hour set also includes their latest chart-topping release with R3hab and Ummet Ozcan “Revolution.”

Liv and Mim bring another diverse tracklist in October’s NERVO Nation. You’ll be treated to a interview with Dubfire, former member of the classic duo Deep Dish and you’ll also hear some dance floor fillers like “Countdown” by Hardwell and MAKJ and “Sound of the Underground” with Nicky Romero, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano.

BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix
Over the summer this year, NERVO made their Essential Mix debut. The two hour set starts with one of the biggest songs of 2013 “Jack” by Breach and also features music from Hardwell, Paul Woolford, Fatboy Slim and Riva Starr and NERVO’s (then) new single “Not Taking This No More.” Get a big dose of NERVO with this one.

Winter Fantasy Weekend Warrior: deadmau5 (unhooked)
Do you hear what I hear? It’s the sound of the weekend. Hidalgo’s third annual Winter Fantasy featuring deadmau5 (unhooked) is almost here and soon we’ll be listening to Adventure Club, Showtek, Le Castle Vania and Nom De Strip perform with the mau5 on stage on Monday, December 30th at the State Farm Arena.
Since we won’t get down at Winter Fantasy for another two weeks, our weekends have been filled with mixes highlighting an artist from our lineup to help get you pumped for the upcoming event.
This week’s weekend warrior is our quick-witted headliner deadmau5. The ground-breaking talent always treats fans to his newest edits and productions on the latest tech-savvy equipment whenever he performs. These three sets will give you an idea of the crazy energy and innovation deadmau5 brings to his sets.

Classic Mixmag Cover CD: Deadmau5
When Mixmag was celebrating their 30th birthday, they uploaded some of their most legendary cover CDs. Chosen by the staff, the mixes chosen rocked the office stereo and sent some of the biggest names in the game on their way to stardom. Our headliner was one of their favorites – and understandably so. The mix weaves artists like Pryda, Tsuba, Joris Voorn and a some of deadmau5’s early tracks like “Complications” and “Arguru.”

Our talented headliner lent his talents to the occasion packing in an set of electro, progressive and even a little bit of dubstep. When deadmau5 drops that massive edit of Rage Against The Machine’s anthem “Do What They Told Ya,” we wanted to jump inside our speakers desperately.
