We love how Meltdown Music Festival‘s lineup is so uniquely diverse. With different genres swarming around our list of talented acts, the one common bond tying them all together is a love of music. That love will take us down the longest road this Saturday when “We Are Finally All Together” at Le Grave Field in Fort Worth. Have you bought your passes yet?
One Meltdown artist who embraces that love of music, is Morgan Page. Page’s style has always been distinct. Pairing pop lyrics over his progressive synths and pounding four-to-the-floor beats, Page’s unique sound strikes a chord in the hearts of both dance music veterans and newcomers. Coming a long way from his log cabin home in Burlington, Vermont, Page has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and five International Dance Music Awards throughout the span of his career. A career that began from humble beginnings, Page started producing electronic music from the age of 12. His early exposure to the genre was inspired by local college radio station WRUV 90.1. Page later become a DJ at that very radio station, hosting a weekly mix show that introduced him to the wide variety of electronic music that came by the box-load.
Page began a steady release schedule after taking an internship at record label, Plastic City. From 2000 through 2006, a handful of 12″ singles scattered about on labels like Bedrock, Nordic Trax, Fiji, and Saw. Nettwerk Records, his current home stay, went on to sign Page for his 2008 release, Elevate, which featured songs like “Longest Road.” Elevate definitely established Page as one of the top talents of our generation’s list of dance music producers.
Now, with three studio albums, successful podcast, and sold-out shows around the world under his belt, Morgan Page is a name that isn’t going any where anytime soon. We can’t wait to have another night out on Meltdown’s dance floor this Saturday, April 27th.
