We made friends, created lasting memories, and we did it all while dancing to great music this past weekend during the inaugural Electric Zoo Mexico. On Sunday, May 4th, we were treated to sets by Hardwell, David Heartbreak and Dubfire, and Arty and on Monday, May 5th the sounds of Skrillex, Tritonal, Pete Tong, and GTA guided our steps. With two days of continuous talent on our many stages, nothing could have kept us from having a good time.

As we close the chapter on this year’s inaugural edition, we want to sincerely thank each and every one of you who came out and made Electric Zoo Mexico such an unbelievable success. We couldn’t have done it without you.

So THANK YOU again for all of your support. We’ll see you next year!

Hicimos amigos, creamos nuevas memorias, todo mientras bailabamos con excelente música este pasado fin de semana durante el recién inaugurado Electric Zoo México. El domingo 4 de mayo fuimos consentidos con los sets de Hardwell, David Heartbreak, Dubfire y Arty. El Lunes 5 de mayo los sonidos de Skrillex, Tritobal, Pete Tong, y GTA guiaron nuestros pasos. Con dos dias continuos de talento en los diferentes escenarios, nada nos pudo impedir el pasar buenos momentos.

Al cerrar este primer capitulo, queremos agradecer sinceramente a todos y cada uno de ustedes que asistieron e hicieron de Electric Zoo Mexico un suceso incríble! No lo hubieramos podido haber logrado sin ustedes.

Hundreds of DJs submitted mixes for the chance to spin at the inaugural Electric Zoo Mexico. After tallying all the votes cast in the contest, we’re proud to give a huge congratulations to Tommy Virtue from New York City.

Estamos a tan solo unas semanas de Electrc Zoo México Electric Zoo que hace su debut internacional en la Ciudad de México con artistas como Hardwell, Skrillex, y Above and Beyond todos programados para presentarse durante los dos dias del evento. Despues de una larga búsqueda del lugar ideal, finalmente encontramos el lugar perfecto: La Arena Ciudad de México, la cual esta convenientemente situada y donde el festival tomará esta hermosa Arena y situará escenarios tanto dentro como fuera de la misma. Habiendo abierto sus puertas en el año 2013, estamos emocionados de contar con un lugar de clase mundial, y considerado state of the art dentro de los recintos mexicanos. La Arena Ciudad de México sera el perfecto host para el fin de semana inaugural de Electrc Zoo México.

Por circunstancias fuera de nuestro control, las fechas de Electric Zoo México han sido cambaidas. Asi que nos vemos en el dancefloor el Domingo 4 de mayo y el Lunes 5 de mayo. Les pedimos una disculpa por los inconvenientes que esto ocasione.
Los boletos originalmente expedidos para el Sábado 3 de mayo serán naturalmente aceptados para el Lunes 5 de mayo. Para todos aquellos que hayan adquirido sus boletos y no puedan atender las nuevas fechas, se les hará la devolución de su dinero.

Miles de boletos han sido vendidos, y tan sólo con ver el line up, sabemos por qué. Leyendas como Pete Tong y Sasha, los nuevos favoritos como Carnage y Seven Lions, o los aclamados Justin Martin y Ladiback Luke tomarán control de los escenarios durante el fin de semana del 1 al 5 de mayo.

We’re just weeks away from Electric Zoo making its international debut in Mexico City, Mexico with artists like Hardwell, Skrillex, and Above & Beyond all scheduled to perform the anticipated two-day event. After a long search for the right venue, we finally found the perfect fit in Arena Ciudad de México. Conveniently located in Mexico City, the festival will take over the gorgeous arena with stages set up both inside and outside. Having just opened its doors in 2012, we’re excited to have the world-class, state-of-the-art venue Arena Ciudad play host to our inaugural weekend.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we’ve had to alter the dates of Electric Zoo Mexico City. So meet us on the dance floor Sunday, May 4th and Monday, May 5th. We apologize for any inconvenience this change may have caused. Tickets originally issued for Saturday, May 3rd will be naturally be honored on Monday, May 5th. For those who’ve already purchased tickets and can’t attend on the new dates, we can issue you a refund.

Thousands of tickets have already been sold and just looking at the names gracing the lineup, it’s easy to see why. Legends like Pete Tong and Sasha, new favorites like Carnage and Seven Lions, and buzzworthy mainstays like Justin Martin and Laidback Luke will all take to our stages this Cinco de Mayo weekend.

Calling all DJs! If you’ve ever dreamt about playing in front of thousands of people on a festival stage, your dream is about to get a little more real.

Disco Donnie Presents and Made Event are pairing up to give one DJ the chance to spin at the inaugural Electric Zoo Mexico. To enter, all you need to do is submit a mix to Mixify, no longer than 20 minutes before Thursday, March 20th at 12:00 PM CST. A team of celebrity judges including the Founder of Disco Donnie Presents, Donnie Estopinal, and co-Founders of Made Event, Mike Bindra and Laura De Palma, will select 20 finalists to advance to the next round. The top 20 finalists will be announced on Tuesday, March 25th. Finalists will then compete to get the most votes from fans using Mixify. A winner will be announced Wednesday, April 9th after our judges select one of the three DJs with the most votes.

The lucky winner of the Mixify’s Electric Zoo Mexico DJ competition will get to spin alongside names like Skrillex, Knife Party, Alesso, Dubfire and many other heavyweights from across the globe.

Rules and Guidelines

• Upload your mini-mixes to Mixify by Thursday, March 20th at 12:00 PM CST (late submissions will not be considered!).
• Judges will select 20 finalists to advance to the final round.
• Top 20 finalists will be announced on Tuesday, March 25th, and fan voting will begin
• The top 3 finalists with the most votes by Tuesday, April 8th will be considered by the judges and one will be chosen to spin at Electric Zoo Mexico City on May 3-4th!
• Mixes need to be NO LONGER THAN 20 MINUTES!
• Mini-mixes must include original work (remixes and mashups count!).
• Entrants must be able to use CDJs and a Pioneer DJM-900 mixer.
• Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

Prizes Include

• A slot on the Electric Zoo Mexico City line-up.
• Hotel accommodations for two (2) nights.
• One (1) flight to Mexico City ($750 max).
• Four (4) 3-day VIP tickets to Electric Zoo Mexico City for friends.

For the past five years, Electric Zoo has been the largest dance music festival in New York City. As we march into 2014, Disco Donnie Presents is proud to be teaming up with Made Event and Alive Entertainment to bring the premiere festival to Mexico City on May 4th and 5th.

Established in 2009, Electric Zoo takes over Randall’s Island during Labor Day weekend. Featuring some of the best names in electronic music, the event brings a wide variety of acts from around the world to offer the finest in techno, trance, house, dubstep, electro, and more. Nominated for “Best U.S. Festival” by the International Dance Music Awards, we’re excited to help grow the event’s footprint by expanding internationally in the new year.
