His involvement in the music industry began at an early age, but it is his consistent work that has made EDX an exemplary success story. He recently launched his weekly radio show ‘No Xcuses’ on SIRIUS XM’s Electric Area Channel and spent summer 2011 holding a residency at the world’s number one nightclub — Space, Ibiza.

EDX has continued his success into 2012 with the release of his highly anticipated debut album, ‘On The Edge’. John Williams and future anthem “This Is Your Life” with Nadia Ali. EDX has a bright future ahead of him and will continue to reach and impress the most demanding audiences around the world.

Solarstone

From scene founding father to ringleader and flag-bearer of the Pure Trance movement, Solarstone (producer, composer & DJ Richard Mowatt) enduring influence stretches back almost as far as the genre itself.
Releases like ‘Solarcoaster,’ ‘The Calling,’ and ‘Seven Cities’ are all benchmark classics of its pre-millennial period. The latter track — among the first of the Balearic trance anthems – has been re-released 3 times, and now sold in excess of 1⁄2 million copies. Remixed by Armin van Buuren amongst others, its instantly recognizable sunset/sunrise-sound legacy is still heard in tracks today. With the albums ‘Anthology One’ ‘RainStarsEternal’, ‘Touchstone’, ‘Pure’ and most recently the cryptically titled ‘. – – – – ‘, he’s also released a quintet of critically revered long-players.

Solarstone has long brought his sound to some of the most famous clubs, arenas and festivals on the planet. In Europe, those have come to include Tomorrowland, Cream Ibiza, A State Of Trance & Global Gathering, whilst further afield he’s rocked TomorrowWorld, Stereosonic, FSOE and numerous others.
Pure Trance: Having championed trance’s true nature from his very first release, the last 5 years have seen Solarstone push its origin sound – almost single-handedly – back to the top of the genre’s agenda. Through his gospel of #PureTrance – modernizing the genre’s heart, whilst ring-fencing its soul – he caught the disposition of the scene with zeitgeist timing. Within its first year, Solarstone’s ideology of Pure Trance had developed into a bona fide musical movement. It’s one which has been captured by a major a mix-compilation series, worldwide Pure Trance club and festival shows, the Pure Trance and Pure Progressive record labels & its weekly radio show.

Now standing at five volumes, the Solarstone Presents Pure Trance series has seen him team up with co-mixing like-minds including Giuseppe Ottaviani, Orkidea, Bryan Kearney, Gai Barone, Sneijder and Forerunners to mix-comp-define the movement’s sound. DJ Mag said of its 4th edition: “Pure Trance has established itself as the genre’s new bedrock… and a firmer one, few could wish for”.
Having now touched every electronic music capital, the Pure Trance tour has sold-out shows in spots including Miami, Ibiza, Amsterdam, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney.

Pure Trance Radio is the latest incarnation of Richard’s long running, widely syndicated radio show. It’s weekly hour-long format includes features like the Progressive and #WeLikeItPure Selections, Not The Kind of Thing We Usually Play, the Big Tune and the Chill Out Moment. Pure Trance Radio is now broadcast on 30+ FM & Internet stations to a listenership now in excess of 8 million. Receiving its first airing on every Wednesday at 22:00 CET on DI.FM’s Trance channel, the summer of 2017 see it reach its landmark 100th show.

With the launch of Pure Trance Recordings & its sub-label Pure Progressive, the Pure Trance label group has risen to a position as one of the best sellers on Beatport. In partnership with esteemed Dutch music house Black Hole Recordings, it brought a label platform to the movement’s most gifted music makers. Reaching its 70th release in May of 2017, its discography includes work from M.I.K.E. Push, Salt Tank, Robert Nickson, Bobina, Ferry Tayle, Driftmoon, Future Disciple, Orkidea, Adam Ellis, Simon Templar, Basil O’Glue, Forerunners, Lostly, and DIM3NSION.

Solarstone — The Music: In 2012, following the release of the Anthology One’ ‘RainStarsEternal’ and ‘Touchstone’ albums, Solarstone released ‘Pure’. A reaction to the ever-greater federalisation of trance’s sound, he used the album as a means of sonically clarifying his position. It spawned seven singles, including ‘The Spell’ (“a revelation” — EDM Magazine), ‘Fireisland’ (with Aly & Fila), its title track, as well as ‘Falcons’ with Giuseppe Ottaviani (a MIXMAG Tune of the Month), ‘Jewel,’ ‘Please’ and ‘Lovers’. ‘Pure’ became the birth point for the Pure Trance movement. 2014 to 2016 saw a clutch of additional hits including ‘Once’ (with IKO), ‘Nothing But Chemistry Here,’ ‘Shield,’ ‘Lost Hearts,’ ‘Infatuation,’ ‘Fata Morgana’ (w/Gai Barone), and ‘Herald’ arrived, elevating Solarstone’s profile to the international DJ A-List.

They were followed in spring of 2017 by the 8-track album ‘. – – – -‘. Ciphered in Morse code, it was Richard’s enigmatically minimalistic encouragement to fans to look deeper into what it was they were seeing & hearing. Its debut single, the 11-minute odyssey ‘A State Of Mind’, was called “lavish”, “hypnotic” and “epic” by DJ Mag, who further stated that the track was “trance at its timeless best”. That single was followed by the Meredith Call sung ‘I Found You’, which featured a remix by Solarstone’s PureNRG partner (see Aliases & Collaborations section below), Giuseppe Ottaviani.

Electronic Architecture: The Pure Trance series aside, Solarstone’s also the helmsman of the highly successful mix-compilation project Electronic Architecture. Born from his longstanding love of pop art, its first edition won immediate acclaim for its imaginative concept. It was hailed as “a magical blend of music, art, and design” by Tilllate Magazine, a “genuine gem” by DJ Mag and in 2010 was nominated for an IDMA award in the Best Full-Length Mix category. A progressive-trance Yin to the ‘Pure Trance’ Yang, two years later Electronic Architecture2 (Or Electronic Architecture Squared) was released to similarly high praise, with MIXMAG’s giving it an Album of the Month award and saying it “captured the essence of what we all love about trance”. Triple-Disc compendium EA3 – released April 2014 – won further critical acclaim with EDM Magazine calling it “modern Trance perfection.”

Solarstone — The DJ: Solarstone behind a pair of CDJs is something that every electronic dance music lover, planet-wide, should witness at least once in their clubbing lifetimes. Worldwide his Pure Trance shows have captured the imagination of hundreds of thousands in electronic music hotspots like Miami, Ibiza & Amsterdam. Since learning the craft in the late 90s, he’s played some of the most renowned names (inc. Tomorrowland, Cream Ibiza, A State Of Trance, Global Gathering, TomorrowWorld, Stereosonic, FSOE & numerous others) and spun alongside the worlds best-known DJs many times over. Richard’s worldwide travels have also taken him to some of the biggest events and festivals across the globe, as well as some of the most remote. Over the years these have included islands in the Philippines, bush parties in Australia and massive festivals in the heart of Brazil.

The Labels: over the course of his career, Solarstone has owned, co-owned and A&Rd many other successful labels. Included among them have been Touchstone Recordings Solaris Recordings, Deepblue, Molecule and Crashing Waves. At the start of 2009, Richard launched solarSwarm, an online community record label for die-hard Solarstone fans. In the summer of the same year, his insatiable label morphed into solarSwarm Recordings. In a groundbreaking move, solarSwarm became the world’s first social network record label.
Solarstone — Aliases & Collaborations: In order to showcase different musical perspectives & sounds, Richard has also recorded under a number of pseudonyms. In 2002 he initiated the 80’s-influenced Young Parisians outfit, who subsequently scored substantial club hits with ‘U Write the Rules’ and ‘Jump the Next Train’. The natural successor to Young Parisians, 2012 saw him reteam with Ben Lost as Federation — a new band-based live act. Drawing on an even greater range of influences, from several decades, it was signed to Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Fluoro and resulted in 4 Beatport top 10 charting singles.

Launched in the spring of 2015, PureNRG is Solarstone’s LIVE fusion with Giuseppe Ottaviani. A connection of musical minds, creative ability & on-stage magnetism, it has since seen the duo grace festival stages like EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, A State Of Trance and Electronic Family. To date, the pair has released five singles together, including the “uplifting” (DancingAstro) ‘Secret Of The Sahara’ ‘Pump Up The NRG’, ‘Era’, ‘Scarlett’ and the DJ Mag Single of the Month ranked ‘Prophecy’.

Solarstone — The Remixes: Over the years Solarstone has always maintained a keen production/remix balance. Most recently he has worked on remixes for names like Royksopp (‘I Had This Thing’), Aly & Fila (‘The Other Shore’), Hurts (‘Blind’) London Grammar (‘Wasting My Young Years’) & Marcus Schulz (‘Facedown’).

SNBRN

Kevin Chapman’s introduction to dance music was at age 12 when he stumbled upon music from the likes of Fatboy Slim and Moby. In 2008 he got his first copy of the digital production software, Reason, and started producing his own dance music. Slowly but surely, he began to immerse himself in the LA and San Diego club scenes.

By 2013, Kevin had completed multiple professional degrees in audio engineering and production. Shortly thereafter the vision for the SNBRN brand emerged and Kevin embarked on a new creative path. Recognizing the increasing popularity of deep house, indie dance, and nu disco Kevin envisioned a brand that combined all the best elements of each sub-genre while remaining instantly accessible.

In May of 2014 the SNBRN project was launched with a series of viral covers and remixes. He was quickly met with a series of career milestones including: multiple HypeMachine chart topping releases, garnering tens of millions of plays on SoundCloud and YouTube, and direct support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. With official releases on Atlantic, Astralwerks, Spinnin’ Records, Ultra, Republic and Sony, the SNBRN brand has rapidly solidified itself as an overnight sensation in the indie dance and house music worlds.

The first SNBRN single ‘Raindrops feat. Kerli’ was released January 20th on Ultra Records. “Raindrops” has already garnered over 14 million plays on Spotify and well over 2 million on SoundCloud. It also reached #2 on the HypeM Charts, #12 on the iTunes Dance singles chart, and #25 on Billboard’s Electronic/Dance Music Chart.

SNBRN’s official remix of Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” hit #1 on HypeM and quickly climbed into the Top 10 House chart on Beatport. Simultaneously, Chris Lake and Matroda’s official remix of SNBRN’s single “California” went #2 overall on Beatport.

Over the summer of 2015, SNBRN hit the North American festival circuit with performances at the likes of Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, Firefly, Hangout, Electric Forest, Lightning in a Bottle, CRSSD, Hard, & more

In late January 2016, SNBRN released his original “Gangsta Walk” single which features an unreleased acapella from Nate Dogg, the first ever licensed original record since his death.

NGHTMRE

NGHTMRE’s rise to the top has been a dream, to say the least. Some say he arrived the day Skrillex played his single “Street” on the main stage at Ultra Music Festival in 2015 – dance music’s premiere event. The record would go on to be one of the biggest trap song that summer, and lead Tyler Marenyi to become the darling of Diplo’s Mad Decent imprint, an international festival superstar, and a resident DJ at Las Vegas’ famed Hakkasan.

His 2016 collaborations with Zeds Dead, Dillon Francis, and Flux Pavilion helped catapult him all across the world, playing Tomorrowland in Belgium, Storm Festival in Shanghai, Looptopia in Taiwan, and World DJ Fest in Seoul. Tyler also embarked on the 34-city “Gud Vibrations” bus tour with best friends Derek and Scott of Slander that winter, selling out venues such as the Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis, the Rex Theater in Pittsburgh, Rams Head Live in Baltimore, and The Ogden Theatre in Denver.

NGHTMRE’s name continues to make waves in 2017, starting with a headline tour through Australia and New Zealand. As summer approaches, he can be found at both stateside and international installations of Lollapalooza and EDC, as well as C3 and Insomniac’s brand new Middlelands festival. Finally, Tyler plans to release a new EP with Mad Decent, a project that aims to take a turn from his usual bangers and explore different sonic territory. If you want to support someone who is at the forefront of creativity in electronic music, NGHTMRE is the name you want to follow.

Based out of downtown Los Angeles, Mija has established herself as an innovative and fresh new producer of this era. Her roots may be based in house music, but nobody puts Mija in a corner. Her genre-defying mixtapes and bassline productions keep the masses dancing around the globe.

Mija began her career in her hometown Phoenix, where she became a fulltime DJ in early 2012. In 2014 she was invited to perform on Kalliope, a Burning Man art car, at Bonnaroo Music Festival. It was on that car where she serendipitously ran into Skrillex and played a b2b sunrise set. Just a couple months later, Mija won a mix competition to play on the Black Butter Records stage at TomorrowWorld, where her set was recorded, and truly helped build a steady platform for her career.

Mija is quickly building a massive fan base from countries around the world. With her latest production “Crank It” feat. Lil Jon being released on record label OWSLA, she is making headlines on some of the biggest EDM websites out right now. This is just the beginning for yung Mija. She has national and international bookings under her wing in 2015, with the talent and drive to back it.

GANZ

Despite being only 24, Dutchman Jordy Saämena has already achieved and accomplished many things. As a child he first became conscious of the wider musical world when listening to hip hop, old soul and garage and soon began drumming. It was a desire to create the full song, not just the bottom end, that turned Jordy onto production. Now, eight or so years later, he has switched with great skill and style between a number of different genres.

In 2012 the musician and producer began studying Electronic Music at The Conservatory in Haarlem and soon became infatuated with bass. This is no surprise given Jordy’s Moluccan heritage, a culture that is known for laying down exciting rhythms on traditional local drum, the Tifa.

It was at this moment that he dreamt up new moniker GANZ (also known as GANZ GVNZ, IAMGANZ or GANZEE) and began crafting the creations we hear today. This music he makes, inspired by peers like Rustie and Hudson Mohawke, is a melange of beats and bass, r&b smoothness with hip hop rhythms and so far has been released on labels like Bmkltsch Rcrds, Saturate! Records and HW&W. Now a part of the HW&W family and intent on taking his sounds across the globe, GANZ is an artist very much on the rise.

On the 18th of November GANZ is releasing his next hot EP, ‘PVRPLE CWTCH’ on Plastician’s label Terrorhythm. ‘PVRPLE CWTCH’ is sure to be his biggest release to date, and support for his records have come in from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Eclair Fifi (LuckyMe), Slugabed, Plastician (Rinse FM), DjembaDjemba, Faze Miyake, Pixelord, Cyril Hahn, 123MRK, XLR8R and many others.

His latest remix for “Louis Futon — Shoulda Known” was very well received. Gilles Peterson played his remix twice during his Worldwide show on BBC Radio 6. Gilles Peterson: “I hear a lot of trappy , beaty , intrumental Hip Hop and when one comes in like this , I jump for joy . Louis Futon — Shoulda Known (GANZ Remix) . That’s a big one!”

Kayzo

Hayden Capuozzo was born in Houston, Texas but called many cities his home. In 2012 at the age of 24, Kayzo had his start in a pretty unreal way. He was selected as the winner of Insomniac’s ‘Discovery Project’ Challenge with a mix that was absolute insanity in the best form. Winning this gave him a chance to play ‘Escape from Wonderland’ that year and making his performance one not to forget, that also happened to be his first gig ever.

Since his debut, Kayzo hasn’t let up experimenting with creating music in genres like happy hardcore, hardstyle, electro, dubstep and even a bit of psytrance. He has recently created milestone collaborations on remixes with happy hardcore rising star Gammer on their Propaganda remix by DJ Snake and Carnage with their “Never Forget You” remix.

Kayzo released his EP “Welcome To The Doghouse” in Spring ’16 through his own label ‘Doghouse Recordings’. The EP was comprised of an eclectic couple of songs to sink you teeth into. KAYZO most recently released his newest collaboration with Barong Family artist, Cesqeaux, titled “Home.”

There is surely no slowing the Doghouse and Hayden.
