Cray

Cheney Ray, known as CRAY, is nothing short of her name. From music producer, to singer, to partnered twitch streamer, she can do it all.
Cheney’s goal has always been to spend every day doing what she loves and turning her passions into a career. After falling in love with electronic music in college and disillusioned with pursuing a corporate career Cheney decided to follow her gut and teach herself music theory and production. From learning to produce in a college dorm, she’s moved on to playing the main stage at HARD Summer, hitting #13 on the Spotify Viral 50, and being supported by many of the artists she looks up to.

Cheney’s mission to turn her hobbies into a career didn’t just stop at music. She spent her entire childhood playing countless video games and has recently turned her gaming obsession into a major part of her online brand by streaming on Twitch.tv and becoming an official Twitch Partner with over 10,000 followers and 100,000 views.

The most exciting part of Cray’s future revolves around combining her two biggest passions and bringing music and gaming closer together. She’s been invited to play major gaming events like Dreamhack and E3, and regularly live streams DJ sets on her twitch channel to hundreds of viewers.

Cheney’s fan base is passionate about her and her brand. She’s grown her online following from a few thousand followers six months ago to over five million impressions on twitter a month and tens of thousands of loyal fans (and a few tattoos). She’s worked with major brands like SpiritHoods, V Moda Headphones, and been approached by countless more to show support on her channels.

shallou

All Becomes Okay is the debut EP from shallou aka Joe Boston. Boston grew up in Rockville, Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC. He attended college in New Orleans and then moved to Chicago, where he began making electronic music in his bedroom.

shallou has come a long way from the bedroom. “Begin,” the first single from All Becomes Okay, recently hit #1 on Sirius XM Chill. He has over 23 million total streams already on Spotify, including over 12 million on “Doubt (Summer Edit).” An excellent live performer, shallou has honed his craft across North America, touring with Petit Biscuit, Roosevelt, El Ten Eleven, and more.

All of this has shallou primed to break out, and All Becomes Okay is his first major move towards the mainstream.

An electronic album with an indie heart, All Becomes Okay is a stunning debut for shallou, a full artistic statement in five songs. Boston describes his music as “happy/sad,” and though that might sound like an oxymoron, it functions as a perfect descriptor for shallou’s brand of music, a dark and beautiful mix of ambient textures and dance rhythms.

Forgoing the easy crowd-pleasing ecstasies of typical electronic music, shallou aims for the mind as well as the heart. The EP is structured to be listened straight through as one complete piece of music, but the singles can stand easily on their own. All Becomes Okay is music made for headphones just as much as it is for the live show.

The title comes from living in a fearful world. “Working on this music alone, I’d get all in my head,” says Boston. “Watching the news with everything going on in the world, I developed all of these weird fears. ‘All Becomes Okay’ was kind of a mantra I wanted to repeat to myself and tell other people. It’s not a passive thing, but an active hope.”

That’s what “happy/sad” music means. It’s music that you can dance to, or you can listen to it alone in your bedroom. The music comes to you and meets you wherever you are. It’s a gift, a sliver of hope in a dark night, a moment of solace for all the thinkers and dreamers of the world.

LUMBERJVCK

Connor Schatzel is a musical perfectionist who mastered the guitar, piano, and drums at an early age in Arcadia, CA. To hone his skills as a producer Connor attended Icon Collective, the music production school in Burbank. He began to gain popularity as LUMBERJVCK shortly after graduating, making a cameo appearance in Borgore’s UZA music video as well as winning the EDC Chicago Discovery Project.

As LUMBERJVCK, Schatzel continued to make a name for himself by putting out some free releases on EDM.com of his filthiest trap and dubstep. These releases helped build his most dedicated followers, the “JVCKSQUAD.” As his single, “Click Clvck,” made its way around the world as a staple of Skrillex’s 2014 Mothership Tour, LUMBERJVCK was ready to start touring. 2016 was a huge year for the JVCKSQUAD. Among all of his touring, LUMBERJVCK has now gone to Australia for a tour, made his major festival debut at Beyond Wonderland in San Bernardino, played the Tacoma Dome in Seattle, stopped in Paris and Switzerland for shows, went b2b2b with 12th Planet & Protohype at EDC Las Vegas, killed Insomniac’s new event – Project Z, and sold out much of the ten year anniversary SMOG Tour with 12th Planet. LUMBERJVCK also launched Insomniac’s new record label, Bassrush Records, with support from Diplo, Bassnectar, Tommy Trash, Excision, Datsik, The Crystal Method, Downlink, Figure, Far Too Loud, Pegboard Nerds, and LAXX, among others. His other releases include Old Gregg, Skinny Pigs with 12th Planet & Protohype, Stank Gum with 12th Planet, and a remix of Getter’s Suh Dude that has over 638 thousand plays.

2017 looks like it will be another huge year for LUMBERJVCK! He is finishing up the SMOG Tour and is already scheduled to perform select dates on Excision’s Paradox Tour. With so many accomplishments already under his belt, it is hard to imagine what 2017 will look like. Rest assured, it will be bigger than the last. ALL PLAID EVERYTHING.

Promnite

Promnite was born in a Los Angeles studio in 2014, but PJ (last name)’s career in music began years before that. Inspired by the underground sounds of Low End Theory and the Los Angeles beat scene, the New York native moved to the West Coast in 2011, where he quickly linked up with a group of producers who would go on to form Team Supreme.

Known to the world as Colta during these years, PJ repurposed his early influences in everything from punk and skate rock to electro and drum & bass and the project gained momentum quickly thanks in part to a debut Boiler Room performance in spring of 2013 and production work for Diplo’s Mad Decent outfit alongside the likes of Mr. Carmack, Djemba Djemba, and Penthouse Penthouse.

A year later, PJ made the pivot to Promnite, which allowed him to explore a new range of sounds, genres, and tempos. Club, downtempo hip hop, and hard beats were now all on the table, and not long after Promnite’s inception, PJ was producing for Denzel Curry, playing a London Boiler Room with Danny Seth, and co-founding the club-focused collective, Athletixx, with fellow LA producers Hoodboi, Kittens, and Falcons.

Heading into 2017, Promnite will continue to produce with the dark, metropolitan-inspired undertones he’s become known for while employing a graduated, songs-over-beats approach reflective of his personal, real-world experiences. Snakecharmer, the forthcoming EP featuring Denzel Curry, Mark Johns, Mr. Carmack, and more, is a self-described “labor of emotion” and the next step in PJ’s ever-evolving progression as a musician and creative.
