'Generate' Love With Eric Prydz and Disco Donnie Presents

“All of the love we generate, the only thing that carries me on. There’s nothing we need that it can’t create…” These lyrics from the soon-to-be-released track “Generate” on Pryda Recordings will ring ever-so-true as Swedish export Eric Prydz gears up for the Generate tour in 2015 under his Pryda alter ego. Though he’s known by many pseudonyms like AxEr, Cirez D, and Sheridan, it is his Pryda moniker that showcases his early house influences with harmonies, melodies, and hooks overtop his trademark power-hungry bass lines – and lest we forget about those infamous Pryda snares.

With early productions dating back to 2002, Eric Prydz has undoubtedly amassed a huge, devoted following worldwide. Whether he’s running three highly-respected labels, Mouseville, Pryda, and Pryda Friends, or releasing underground club hits like “Pjanoo,” “Hit Me With Those Laser Beams” with Green Velvet, or “Allein,” Prydz has developed a sound that has become so influential, it’s no wonder he’s one of the world’s most in-demand spinners and producers.

The Generate tour sees the Swede hitting sixteen dates over the span of a month. Starting up in February through until March, Generate will stop in major cities across the continent, showing off Prydz’s return to his club roots with extended club sets from the progressively-wicked Pryda catalog.

Dance Music Makes a Touchdown at Dallas Cotton Bowl for Something Wonderful

Unlocking a magical new world of life and love, the first-ever Something Wonderful makes a touchdown at the Dallas Cotton Bowl. For one day, the legendary stadium will be transformed to Something Wonderful, a whimsical field of dance music.

Our iconic venue has hosted a world of entertainment in its 80-year history and we are going to break it down for you in a three-part series; beginning with, what else, football!

Are You Ready For Some Football?

There’s two things you don’t mess with – 1. Texas and 2. Something Wonderful’s hometown venue Cotton Bowl Stadium. Originally constructed in 1930, the Fair Park Stadium was renamed the Cotton Bowl six years later. Now a monument to the region’s love of the game, the stadium has housed everything from the FIFA World Cup in 1994, the Dallas Cowboys in the 1960s, the Texas State Fair, and even TV show, Friday Night Lights.

Historically, the gridiron football matches between deep-seated rivals command the stadium’s attention every fall season, with some of the biggest matches being the Red River Showdown, between University of Texas Longhorns and University of Oklahoma Sooners, and the State Fair Classic, pitting the Grambling State University Tigers against the Prairie View A&M University Panthers. The two recurring face-offs are the heart of big Texas spirit and have made this stadium a frequent stop for local and travelling sports fans for many years.

Sports may be the main vein, but come spring, the Cotton Bowl will host a Neverland of fantastic performances from internationally-known DJs when Something Wonderful makes its debut this April 18th. Tickets are now on sale, so grab yours and help make history!

There’s still parts two and three for our Cotton Bowl saga, so follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to stay updated on all the latest announcements!

Here's Something Wonderful... Free Water Refills!

Water is essential to life which is why Something Wonderful will have free water refill stations all throughout the grounds this year. You’ll also be allowed to bring CamelBaks and bota bags when you arrive on Saturday, April 18th, but keep in mind: all CamelBaks and bota bags must be empty, cannot be larger than 21″ x 10″ x 14,” and are subject to search upon entry to the Cotton Bowl.

For all you early birds, Something Wonderful water bottles are on-sale now. You can also bring previously purchased Disco Donnie Presents, Full Access, and NightCulture water bottles but they too must be empty upon arrival. Water bottles will also be available for purchase at our merchandise booth. If you purchase a water from one of our vendors, you can then reuse that container for free refills at the station as well.

Water is definitely Something Wonderful, so please remember to stay hydrated as you dance all day and into the night!
