Disco Donnie Presents Brings Markus Schulz to You!

Having recently been nominated for five International Dance Music Awards and been voted “Best American DJ,” it’s east to see that German trance producer Markus Schulz shows no signs of slowing down. For the past decade, Markus has crafted and fine-tuned his multiple progressive, trance and house music identities. His cheekily fan-coined nickname “unicorn slayer,” denotes his signature hard-driving productions that eviscerate the cheesy, fluffy productions of his peers–which is probably why his famous open-to-close sets have sold out in venues around the world.

Schulz’s output in the music industry doesn’t stop there. His weekly radio show, the Global DJ Broadcast, is now in its sixth year and has become a cornerstone to the constantly growing assemblage of trance and progressive fans. His seven year old imprint, Coldharbour Recordings, is not only one of the most respected trace and progressive labels, but it is also responsible for launching the careers of Marcus Schössow, tyDi, and Glenn Morrison. And his career as a performer is equally as impressive as Markus can proudly state that he is a regular fixture in the world’s biggest and most famous clubs, arenas and festivals. That list of venues that he has performed at is about to get some additions, as Disco Donnie Presents is excited to bring international producing DJ, Markus Schulz to a city near you!

Disco Donnie Presents Brings Calvin Harris to You!

Known to his postmaster as Adam Richard Wiles, Calvin Harris was reportedly one of the most successful songwriters in the world this past year. Which is rather easy to believe, considering all the awards he took home from the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards and his dual Grammy nominations. The Scotland native has produced songs for some of the music industry’s most popular artists like Mary J. Blige, Ke$ha, and Rihanna. To add to his long list of accomplishments, Harris’ single, “Feel So Close,” was his first solo single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States – a feat many dance artists can only dream of! And it is because of this, that 2013 is looking to be a stellar year for this highly in-demand artist. Disco Donnie Presents couldn’t be more thrilled to bring international singer, songwriter, musician, DJ and producer, Calvin Harris to a city near you.

UME Music Mondays: Major Lazer and Flosstradamus

Major Lazer

Legend has it that Major Lazer was a Jamaican commando who, unfortunately, lost his arm in the secret Zombie War of 1984. The US military rescued him and proceeded to use experimental lasers in place of his prosthetic limbs. Now a retired war veteran, Major Lazer is employed by a rogue government operating in the upmost secrecy under watch of M5 and the CIA. The Major, disguised as a dancehall club owner from Trinidad, enlisted friends Diplo and Switch to help him make his first LP, Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do.

Now operating as a solo project by Diplo, Major Lazer can easily pack-out any venue, event, or festival around the globe with the always energetic and diverse approach to each set. From dancehall, to reggae; electro house to moombahton, expect to have an sweaty and ridiculously fun time watching Major Lazer for this year’s Ultimate Music Experience.

Flosstradamus

Having been making music for nearly a decade, Flosstradamus is certainly no newcomers into the dance music industry. The project began as a series of DJ parties in their hometown of Chicago and with a little help from word of mouth and a string of successful club bangers, the duo have rose to the phenomenon they are today. While they were originally known for their unique and eclectic blend of electro, house, minimal techno, and R&B, current releases from J2K and Autobot resonate the world’s growing hunger for bass-heavy music. Armed with their ability to brilliantly remix all of your favorite songs and knack for adding that fun element to every set, Flosstradamus are the perfect addition to the Ultimate Music Experience lineup.
