Sunset Music Festival Artist Spotlight: Le Castle Vania

Things are starting to heat up as we count down the final hours ’til Sunset Music Festival and one artist who knows about heating things up in the studio and especially on the decks, is internationally known, Atlanta native, Le Castle Vania.

Dylan Eiland originally started out playing in some traditional rock bands. After his unsuccessful attempt to master the drums, Eiland began DJing at warehouse parties and raves in Atlanta when he was only 16. The city’s flourishing music scene was an encouragement to Eiland and it allowed him to develop his passion for music and nightlife. It didn’t take long for him to gain recognition with his ruckus DJ sets and knack for production.

As Le Castle Vania, Eiland has steadily toured since the summer of 2006, taking his catchy electro vibes on the road. Though his live performances are overflowing with great energy and an even better track selection, he prides himself on being more than just a DJ for the masses. If he’s not on the road, than he’s in the studio, writing tracks with his signature sound – a perfect marriage of gritty disco punk, memorable synths and soldiering electronic beats. Nobody gets out alive when Le Castle Vania takes the stage at Sunset Music Festival this year. Have you bought your tickets yet?

Disco Donnie Presents and Gareth Emery are Going on Tour!

One of the biggest names in dance music for the last decade, Gareth Emery dabbles in a little bit of everything. The Southampton native runs a night club and famed record label from Manchester, England. Adding to his impressive résumé, is his degree in Politics from the University of Warwick, not to mention he’s trained in classical piano – and we haven’t even touched the surface of his expansive musical tastes. Needless to say, Gareth Emery has become a staple to events and festivals around the globe and has occupied a spot in the top 40 of DJ Mag’s quintessential list since 2006.

Gareth first debuted in early 2002 with a white label remix of The Shrink’s “Nervous Breakdown.” Although the track brought him some attention, it was his third release “Mistral,” out that same year, that is considered to be the launching pad of his career as Paul van Dyk would later go on to debuted the track live during the Nature One Festival. His debut artist album Northern Lights hit number one on the US iTunes dance chart and featured “Sanctuary,” which became the most played record of 2011 on Sirius XM Radio station BPM. Though his production is usually described as a fusion of trance, house and progressive, Gareth will tell you that he plays good music, regardless of genre.

Throwing labels to the side, Gareth Emery is an eclectic personality and an extremely talented DJ. Which is why we are excited to partner with the him on the following dates:

Knife Party releases long-awaited third EP, “Haunted House”

It was only two years ago when the world was first introduced to the Australian duo Knife Party, though its members Rob Swire and Gareth McGrill had already created a name for themselves as two-thirds of the critically acclaimed drum and bass infused group, Pendulum. Earlier this month, the duo finally released their long-waited third EP, Haunted House.

The EP sees Knife Party honing in on their craft. Whereas the Rage Valley EP boasted in the electro house, dubstep, drumstep, and moombahton genres, Haunted House focuses on the boys’ niche production of crazy bass drops and fluctuating tempo changes that keep your feet guessing. Starting off the release is the ode to old school Nintendo, “Power Glove,” which has been deemed by fans as the followup to the duo’s popular hit, “Internet Friends.” With a healthy dose of bass chains and sequenced high-pitched vocal samples, we’re sure you’ll get to hear this track live when Knife Party takes the Ra stage at Sunset Music Festival.
