The third annual Winter Fantasy is poised to bring renowned talent like deadmau5, Adventure Club, Showtek, Le Castle Vania and Nom de Strip to the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, TX on Monday, December 30th. With several weeks remaining until the gates open for the anticipated event, we have plenty of time to stay up-to-date with our talented lineup.
For Winter Fantasy’s first Drop, we’ve got the brothers Showtek taking the UK charts by storm and electro maven Nom de Strip is gearing up to do some damage control across North America.
Showtek enters the UK Top 40 Chart at #5
Though Dutch brothers Showtek have since ventured away from their original hardstyle roots, the boys are still mesmerizing fans with their impressive ability to blend all types of genres into a unique listening experience. Their track “Booyah,” released on Spinnin Records on August 19th, is the perfect example of this, sporting a reggae-infused big room track.
Moving from the standard four-to-the-floor to a half-time beat intro, “Booyah” has some massive stab synths that are later joined by the vocals of We Are Loud! and Sonny Wilson. After your ears become adjusted to the big room feel, the track then leaps to drum and bass, incorporating some fast-paced snares and hi-hats to the mix. Resonating that old school rave energy, this track is festival ready and has been powering through the boys’ sets all summer.
Still high off the success from its initial release, “Booyah” has just entered the UK’s Top 40 chart at #5. Sandwiched between artists like Katy Perry, OneRepublic and Lorde, we’re excited to see Showtek’s name listed with some of the world’s hottest acts right now.
Currently traipsing across Europe on tour, we hope to hear “Booyah” when Showtek make their way to Hidalgo for Winter Fantasy on Monday, December 30th.
