Adventure Club donates $7,000 to F*ck Cancer

artist adventure clubOver the summer, Québecois superheroes Adventure Club teamed up with dance music clothing retailer Electric Family to release a series of custom Adventure Club wristbands. These aren’t just your run-in-the-mill fan wristbands though. The threaded red and blue design is one way Cristian and Leighton are giving fans the chance to be superheroes in real life. Every dollar made from the sale of the product will directly benefit Canadian-based charity F*ck Cancer. Their purpose, though it could inferred to by the title, is to educate youth and adults about fighting cancer.

To date, with the aid of their fans, Adventure Club has been able to raise over $7,000 in bracelet sales for the organization. Due to popular demand, the bands were temporarily sold out, but not anymore. You can make your way over to Electric Family and grab your Adventure Club wristband today. Be sure to wear yours at The Gift on Thursday, December 26th!

Nom De Strip’s and Congrock’s ‘Minerals’ out now on Ultra Records

artist nom de stripThe long-awaited collaboration of Nom de Strip and Congorock is finally here. The fresh new release, out on Ultra Records, is titled “Minerals” and WARNING: It’s killer. The groovy tribal drum intro will give you the urge to start dancing immediately. The main riff is sinister and somewhat ominous sounding, but in the awesomest, grittiest and dirtiest of ways. And we can’t talk about this song without mentioning the roaring kick drum. Break out the sub woofers for this one. The four-to-the-floor kick just keeps pounding, driving the energy level of this track through the roof.

The song has also been featured in the soundtrack of the recently released EA Sports game Need for Speed Rivals. We think its awesome that you can have a street-racing rivalry between cops and racers to the tune of some banging electro house tracks. You can go out and grab the game, but we’re pretty sure the song would sound better in person. Come hear and dance to “Minerals” at The Gift on Thursday, December 26th.
