Consider your Valentine’s Day sweet tooth satisfied as Candyland are set to join the lineup of the second annual Heartbeat at Pharr Events Center in Pharr, TX. While we countdown the days ’til the #1 Spring Break dance music event, Ultimate Music Experience, the Road to UME begins Saturday, February 14th with Candyland and Blasterjaxx closing out the night.
Though co-ed duo Candyland have only been producing since 2011, it hasn’t taken long for the Santa Barbara-based talents to score their big break. The two first came to our attention in 2012 when they won the Bingo Players’ “Rattle” remix contest and scored another contest win with their remix of Skrillex and Damian Marley’s “Make It Bun Dem” remix contest later that same year. Not ones to rest for long, their debut EP Bring the Rain was released the following year and showcased their aptitude for creating a genre-spanning catalogue with tracks ranging from electro house, dubstep, glitch hop, and drum and bass. Armed with versatility and an appetite for dance floor destruction, leave the chocolate at home and get some Candyland when they take the stage at Heartbeat this Valentine’s Day.
