Every year in the throngs of Spring, music fans in New Orleans and the surrounding areas look forward to two weeks of music from some of the industry’s most well-known names for Jazzfest by Nite. The 2014 edition will be no different as Disco Donnie Presents and Ampersand Events team up once again to bring Lana Del Rey to perform during the epic event on Friday, April 25th at Champions Square.
Due to overwhelming demand for tickets, Lana Del Rey’s concert at New Orleans’ 3,000-capacity venue Sugar Mill has moved to the 7,500-capacity Champions Square. All tickets purchased for Sugar Mill will be valid for Champions Square and new tickets will be available via Ticketmaster.com.
Undeniably, Lana Del Rey has had an incredible 2013. Called an “American icon” by Nylon Magazine, the talent celebrated many successful releases including her platinum-certified track “Young and Beautiful,” her Billboard Hot 100 hit “Summertime Sadness,” whose edit by Cedric Gervais received a Grammy, and “Paradise and “Young and Beautiful,” both of which earned Grammy nominations.
Trailblazing through 2014, Lana Del Rey is currently putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming album Ultraviolence, the follow-up to the certified platinum LP Born To Die. There won’t be any summertime sadness in The Big Easy when Lana Del Rey performs at Champions Square for Jazzfest by Nite.
