Detroit-based producing DJ Anthony Attalla has been making big waves in the dance music industry. Known for his musicality and flawless energetic sets, Attalla, in the few short years of his budding career, has scored residencies at world reknowned clubs, seen his imprint rise to the upper-echolons of dance music labels, and has become a highly in-demand artist for international bookings. But, those things don’t really matter to him. He is one of the rare talents that keep their focus on the music, stating once in an interview, “…production is predicated on the fastest evolving element in our world today  technology  so the learning curve is infinite. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I have to learn.” That’s not to say his production needs work. Quite the opposite as a matter of fact. Attalla has already charted over 30 Top 100 tracks on Beatport. Moreover, labels like Great Stuff Recordings, Definitive Recordings, Tronic, and Global Underground are just a few of the heavyweights seeking his productions.
But Attalla has been working on creating a respected brand himself, with the birth of his imprint, Incorrect Music whose focus releasing tracks inspired by Detroit’s rich techno history. Now that we’re four years within the label’s launch, we’ve seen Attalla sign several chart-topping tracks produced by some of the industry’s biggest names, and newcomers alike. In it’s inaugural year, Incorrect Music had over 40 releases chart on Beatport’s overall Top 100 and signed artists from over 20 different countries.
As a performer, he has been vocal about that as well. “When I perform is truly the only time I can just forget about the world and lose myself,” says Attalla. “It’s almost like I disappear for a few hours and go to a different dimension or universe where I’m oblivious to everything besides my connection to the crowd and my set.” Forward-thinking, distinguished musician and versatile, both Incorrect Music and its frontman, are perfect examples of another way of life.
