Kill Them With Colour
In the last few years, music classification has progressed vastly with an abundant number of subgenres being attributed to up and coming artists. Kill Them With Colour, however, remains unclassifiable. KTWC is an inspired term to describe vibrant art that takes a form of music, as if the spectrum of sound can be visualized in colour. Each track carries its own sense of wholeness and character, bringing a feeling and experience of sound that leaves no threshold of categorization.
Spending last summer with sets at Firefly, Bestival (Toronto), Euphoria, Moonrise, Splash House, Ile Soniq and Electric Zoo — Wes followed with a fall touring season playing with Pete Tong and Adventure Club and closed out 2015 with a performance at Lights All Night NYE Festival. Now, look out for major announcements for the new year, including the release of his long awaited EP “Get High” out January 29th on MTA Records.
With over 10 million combined views and listens on Youtube and Soundcloud, Kill Them With Colour has become a mainstay in the Hype Machine charts for remixing artists such as Brandon Flowers, Marian Hill, Zella Day, ZHU and Raury. KTWC has received support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, The Magician and Danny Howard to name a few.
Most recently, his “Get High (VIP Mix)” reached #1 on Hype Machine. And in the past year, his original song “Always Somethin” has garnered worldwide success also reaching #1 and tallying over 1.5 Million plays on Soundcloud.
Prepare to be — splattered with synths; brush stroked with samples; canvassed with Classical, Hip-hop, Trinidad Dance Hall, House and primed with progressions and processions.
Step into the painting that is Kill Them With Colour’s world.
