Meltdown Music Festival Announces One-Hour Time Adjustment

Meltdown Music Festival Announces One-Hour Time Adjustment

Disco Donnie Presents, Full Access, and Prototype Industries have announced that Meltdown Music Festival‘s operating hours will be adjusted by one hour when its gates are opened Saturday, April 27th at QuikTrip Park. The decision to open the festival an hour earlier comes from our discussions with the City of Grand Prairie to ensure that Meltdown met and exceeded the city’s sound codes.

Our communications director Evan Bailey says, “We regret having to alter advertised times of any show, but fan safety and working with communities, always comes first. We are extremely thankful for the care and assistance The City of Grand Prairie has shown us in developing a solution to provide the same amount of music for the fans, while working within the City’s codes.”

So instead of 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM, we will live out our “We Are All Together” motto from 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM. Don’t worry, our lineup and set lengths haven’t changed. The main stage will now end programming at 1:00 AM and the second stage’s hours will end at midnight. See you soon and remember, tickets are still available!

Meltdown Music Festival Artist Profile: Kill Paris

With only eight days until we dance out Meltdown Music Festival‘s motto of “We Are All Together,” the time to grab your tickets is running out. We can’t wait to bring some of the most creatively diverse talent from all around the world to deep in the heart of Texas. Meltdown artist Kill Paris knows a little something about creativity, utilizing his capabilities of Ableton Live and his own custom controller to play and loop bass, guitar, synth, and drum instrumentation all while mixing in and out of songs.

Born, Corey Baker, Kill Paris first dove into music composition at the ripe age 16 and later, go on to receive his recording arts degree in Florida. Though he produced for and performed with several country music bands/singers in Nashville after graduation, his penchant for electronic music would be what led him to his current home of Los Angeles.

One of the many great things about Kill Paris, is his affinity for giving his music away for free. Not only does his Soundcloud feature over 20 songs for free download, but he offered a “name your own price” option for his 2012 album The Beginning. With his live sets made almost entirely of his own originals and remixes, expect a show unlike anything you’ve ever seen before when Kill Paris takes the Meltdown stage.

Kill Paris

Kill Paris began his journey into music composition at age 16 learning how to play the guitar, which soulfully reflects in his Future Funk style and bass guitar riffs in his music today.

After receiving his recording arts degree in Florida, he moved to Nashville, TN, the heart of Rock/Country in the U.S. and produced for and performed with several Country music bands/singers. But it was his attraction to electronic music composition that led him into the heart of Los Angeles, California where he currently resides today.

In the summer of 2012 he began to receive attention from some well-known EDM blog sites, testifying his undying love to Lana Del Ray, and earning some highly sot after Features from Dubstep.net, and ThisSongIsSick.com, which helped propel his music into the ears of larger masses. His success in the EDM blog-sphere online helped launch his touring carrier in late 2012 and early 2013, where he’s spent the majority of his time traveling and performing in cities all across the country.
